Kurt, an attorney and Certified Public Accountant (inactive), concentrates his practice on trust and estate planning and estate administration, probate matters, business law, and business succession matters. In 2000 he co-founded a boutique law firm dedicated to estate planning for high net wealth individuals, now known as Fahlman Olson & Little, PLLC. Kurt is experienced in various strategies to transfer family wealth and reduce state and federal estate and gift taxes, including family limited liability companies and limited partnerships, insurance and personal residence trusts, family succession, and business succession estate plans. Voted one of “Seattle’s Best 100 Estate Planning Lawyers” by Seattle Met Magazine, July 2010. Kurt obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business/Accounting from the Washington State University in 1979, graduating magna cum laude. In 1982, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Willamette University and taught Business Law for Seattle Pacific University’s MBA program. In 2016, Kurt was elected the President of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle. He is also a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Section, King County Bar Association, and the Washington State University Planned Giving Advisory Board.
